50 States, 28 Countries, One Mission: Saving the Ridglan Beagles

What began as one of the largest rescue efforts in Big Dog Ranch Rescue’s history quickly became something much bigger. A remarkable outpouring of compassion reached across all 50 states and 28 countries around the world.

When 2,115 beagles needed a second chance after being rescued from Ridglan Farms, our community answered the call. From across the United States and around the globe, thousands of people stepped forward to help make their rescue, care, and new beginnings possible.

Compassion Without Borders

Support for the Ridglan beagles came from all 50 states and 28 countries around the world, showing just how far their story reached and how many people wanted to be part of giving them a second chance.

From Australia and Canada to Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and beyond, people united around one shared purpose: helping give these beagles the lives they deserve.

Some donated from thousands of miles away. Others shared our urgent pleas, followed the beagles’ journeys, sent words of encouragement, or helped spread awareness. Every act of kindness played a part.

This rescue showed us that compassion truly has no borders. No matter where our supporters were located, they came together for dogs they had never met simply because they believed their lives were worth saving.

2,115 Beagles Given a Second Chance

Bringing 2,115 beagles to safety was only the beginning.

Once they arrived at Big Dog Ranch Rescue, the work continued to provide them with the care, attention, and love they needed as they began a new chapter. For many, this was their first opportunity to experience the comfort of a loving touch, the excitement of play, and the possibility of a family of their very own.

Because of the incredible community standing behind us, these beagles were given more than rescue. They were given a chance at the futures they always deserved.

From Rescue to Forever Homes

Today, we are incredibly grateful to share just how far they have come.

Almost all of the 2,115 Ridglan beagles have found their forever homes.

Now, just 8 Ridglan beagles remain in our care, still waiting for the families who will complete their journeys.

From supporters across 50 states and 28 countries to thousands of beagles beginning new lives, this rescue is a powerful reminder of what can happen when people come together to help animals in need.
