Visitor Guidelines

To help maintain a calm and safe environment for our rescue dogs:

  • All visitors must check in upon arrival.

  • Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

  • Please walk while on the property. Running, shouting, horseplay, or disruptive behavior may frighten or overstimulate the dogs.

  • Follow all posted signs and staff instructions.

  • Remain in designated visitor areas unless accompanied by a staff member.

  • Certain areas of the Ranch are restricted to protect animals receiving medical treatment, behavioral rehabilitation, quarantine, or decompression.

Meeting the Dogs

Our dogs are at different stages of recovery and rehabilitation.

To ensure their safety and yours:

  • Do not enter kennels, play yards, or animal enclosures unless instructed or accompanied by a staff member.

  • Ask a team member before interacting with any dog.

  • Some dogs may not be available for public interaction due to medical treatment, behavioral training, quarantine, or decompression.

  • Treat every animal with kindness, patience, and respect.

  • Do not open kennel doors.

  • Do not remove dogs from designated areas.

  • Do not feed treats, food, or medications without staff approval.

Outside Pets & Service Animals

For the protection of our rescue animals:

  • Personal pets are not permitted on the property unless they are scheduled for an approved meet-and-greet.

  • Service animals that are individually trained to perform tasks for a person with a disability are welcome in accordance with applicable law.

  • Service animals must remain under the handler's control at all times and may be restricted from certain animal-care areas when necessary to protect the health and safety of rescue animals.

Health & Safety

For everyone's safety:

  • Wash or sanitize your hands before and after handling animals.

  • Visitors who are feeling ill should postpone their visit.

  • Smoking, vaping, alcohol, marijuana, illegal drugs, and other intoxicating substances are prohibited anywhere on the property.

  • Closed-toe shoes are strongly recommended.

  • During disease outbreaks or as otherwise directed by staff, visitors may be required to follow additional biosecurity procedures, including hand sanitation or foot sanitizing stations.

Adoption Visits

Our Adoption Counselors are available daily from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM to help match families with the right dog.

Please be prepared to:

  • Present a valid government-issued photo ID.

  • Discuss your home environment, lifestyle, and previous pet experience.

  • Provide landlord approval if renting, when applicable.

  • Have all household members meet the dog before adoption whenever possible.

Submitting an adoption application does not guarantee adoption. Our goal is to make the best possible match for both the dog and the adopter.

Photography & Social Media

Personal photography for non-commercial use is welcome.

Please:

  • Avoid using flash photography around the animals.

  • Do not photograph restricted areas, veterinary treatment areas, or staff-only operations without permission.

  • Be respectful of other visitors, adopters, volunteers, and staff when taking photographs or videos.

We gratefully accept donations of supplies and monetary gifts that directly support the care of our rescue dogs.

Please check with a staff member before dropping off donated items.
