Megan is a sweet 1-year-old dog who has already been through so much in her short life. She was brought to us after being hit by a car and was transferred between several veterinary clinics as she received urgent care for her injuries.

When she arrived at Big Dog Ranch Rescue, our team gave her the medical attention and support she needed. Her back left leg was badly injured, and for a while, it was kept in a cast and carefully bandaged. Despite all efforts, Megan began having seizures, and her leg wasn’t healing as hoped. On May 7th, she underwent surgery, and her back left leg was amputated to give her the best chance at a healthy future.

Megan is now under close veterinary care and is being monitored around the clock. Through it all, she has remained gentle, loving, and strong. Thanks to our incredible supporters and donors, we’ve been able to give Megan the treatment she needs and the comfort she deserves.

She’s on the road to recovery, and we’re hopeful for what’s ahead.
