ADOPT & FOSTER

1. Adopt a former research beagle when one becomes available.
2. Consider an older or special-needs beagle who may have a harder time finding a home.
3. Promote beagles who are waiting for adoption
4. Help other rescue dogs find homes, too. Every successful adoption can help create space and resources for another dog in need.
5. Share your adoption story to inspire others and show what life after a laboratory can look like

DONATE & FUNDRAISE

11. Make a donation. Every dollar helps us continue our work.​

CONTACT LAWMAKERS

23. Find your elected representatives.

Know who represents you at the federal and state levels.

24. Call your U.S. representative.

Tell their office that animal testing and the treatment of animals used in research matter to you.

25. Email your U.S. representative. Put your concerns and the changes you want to see in writing.

26. Contact both of your U.S. senators

27. Contact your state representative and state senator.

28. Ask lawmakers where they stand on animal testing and what they are doing to reduce unnecessary testing. Ask for an answer, not acknowledgement. 

29. Support our Beagle Liberation Act. 

30. Contact HHS directly to advocate for ending dog testing. Write directly to the HHS Secretary with specific policy recommendations or issues.

31. Ask them to support funding policies for scientifically validated non-animal research methods.

32. Advocate for adoption after research ends.

33. Ask for greater transparency about animals used in research.

34. Follow state and federal legislation involving laboratory animals. 

35. Speak up before important votes.
