The new Hoffman Family Veteran Dog Training Lodge is now open at BDRR. This was made possible by the generosity of former Ambassador Al Hoffman and his wife Dawn. The Lodge was inaugurated on Veteran's Day, to honor all those who have served our country. The Lodge is a home for service dogs during their 18 month training, with each dog being matched for their veteran's special needs. We are also grateful to Pam and Paul Fazio for their support of the Veteran Dog Training Program. Dog trainers Brett Simon and Evan Fried and his team are now training these wonderful future service dogs that are now living at the new Lodge. Brett started K9 for Warriors, one of the nation’s largest veteran service organizations, providing highly trained service dogs to veterans. We will now be able to provide three times as many service dogs to vets in need.
