Finnegan is a sweet and fun loving fellow. Don't tell him he was just diagnosed with a grade 5 heart murmur and severe pulmonary stenosis. He has plans and a life he wants to get to. Dr Rupp indicated that due to the severity of his condition that medications and surgery will be his best approach. None of this can happen until he reaches at least four months of age and gets through a major growth spurt, which often can make congenital defects worsen. So during this time exercise restriction will be provided by his foster family. Then when funds are raised to cover the $3500 for a valvuloplasty at the UF at Gainesville, Finnegan will have the chance to recover and be a normal boy just like Pinocchio and run and play. He truly is the heart of Big Dog Ranch Rescue and why we all do it for the dogs and puppies too. And we can't do this all without your support and dedication.

Phase 1 of the new facility will not be up and running until August 1st, but the developers say we need to be off the current property by April 1st! We are doing everything we can to provide shelter for the dogs currently in our loving care but we still need foster homes for approximately 85 dogs for 3-4 weeks (or longer, if possible).
